Bits	Direction	Meaning
w	IN / OUT	The Write-Protect flag; 1 if writing is allowed (write-protection is disabled), 0 if writing is not allowed (write-protection is enabled).
W	IN / OUT	The value of the Write-Protect flag stored for the current configuration, ie. the default value of the w flag at power-up.

Notes

The default value of the Write-Protect flag in the factory-supplied firmware is 1.
